    Senate Bill 50 proposes legislation to add Chapter 4.35 to the California Government Code, establishing an equitable communities incentive program that requires local governments to grant density bonuses and other concessions to residential developments meeting specified criteria, including being job-rich or transit-rich housing projects and including affordable housing units. The bill applies to all cities, including charter cities, and includes provisions addressing displacement concerns in sensitive communities.
