    The Village Project Land Use Committee reviewed the applicant's traffic study and mitigated negative declaration released by the City on February 18, concluding that the proposed Caruso Village Project would not create unmitigatable traffic impacts and would provide a well-managed shopping, restaurant, and theater district. The Committee's assessment was informed by consultation with a transportation advisor and community leaders from other areas with Caruso developments.

    This document presents DWP's analysis of three overloaded and outage-prone electrical circuits in Pacific Palisades (29-03, 29-05, and 29-06) and proposes short-term solutions using pole-top distribution stations to split the circuits into five, with long-term plans for a new permanent distribution station. Construction of the temporary pole-top stations is scheduled to begin in March 2016 and be completed before summer.

    The Pacific Palisades Community Council adopted a modified version of a motion supporting the Los Angeles Homeless Veterans Leasing Act of 2015, which would authorize the VA to build permanent supportive housing on the West LA VA Campus for homeless veterans, conditioned on the VA working with impacted communities to study and mitigate material adverse environmental impacts including traffic.

    Pacific Palisades Community Council considered a motion to support the Department of Veterans Affairs West LA campus draft master plan, which aims to revitalize the campus into a vibrant community providing healthcare, housing, and services for all veterans. The motion was proposed on February 17, 2016, but failed to be adopted by a majority of councils before the October 2016 deadline, though it passed in seven other neighborhood and community councils.
