  The Pacific Palisades Community Council held two public meetings on October 17 and October 24, 2019 regarding a discretionary planning application at 701 Palisades Drive and voted unanimously to not object to the application contingent on a condition limiting concurrent use of church and school facilities to six times per calendar year and requiring valet parking for events exceeding 564 attendees.

  Pacific Palisades Community Council opposes Assembly Bill 1112 and urges Assemblymember Bloom to vote against it, citing concerns that the bill would restrict local regulatory control over dockless mobility device providers and prevent cities from requiring providers to cooperate with law enforcement in injury cases.   The Pacific Palisades Community Council urges the City of Los Angeles to deny, suspend, or revoke business licenses and dockless mobility permits for providers that fail to cooperate with law enforcement following an incident where a pastor was struck by a dockless electric scooter user who fled the scene and the provider refused to identify the user. The council passed a resolution on May 9, 2019, calling for cooperation with law enforcement to be a mandatory condition of operating dockless mobility devices in Los Angeles.

  The Pacific Palisades Community Council opposes applications DIR-2019-938-CDP and ENV-2019-939-CE for 15245 W. De Pauw Street, citing violations of a 2015 Coastal Exemption denial, a Zoning Information Bulletin protecting Potrero Canyon viewsheds, and the existing 2000 Coastal Development Permit, and requests removal of unpermitted structures that were constructed despite a stop work order.

  The Pacific Palisades Community Council unanimously passed a motion on April 11, 2019, requesting that Los Angeles County, the City of Los Angeles, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers coordinate comprehensive flood protection and mitigation efforts for the LA River, including sediment removal, infrastructure improvements, and Congressional authorization for a feasibility study. The Council urges immediate action to address flood risks and implement modern flood control measures to protect residents from potential catastrophic flooding.

The PPCC board passed this motion on November 8, 2018, after the developer presented and answered questions about the proposed eight-house development.

  The Pacific Palisades Community Council requests a 30-day extension of the comment deadline for the Marquette Project (Case Nos. DIR-2017-264, -268, -334, -336, -361, -366, -445 and -449) to allow time for a board vote on October 25, 2018 discussion that was postponed to November 8, 2018. The council also requests that the Department of City Planning apply applicable zoning regulations and Coastal Act provisions while considering community concerns regarding geology, environmental impacts, sewer connection, public safety, building sizes, and lot line adjustments.
