The Pacific Palisades Community Council opposes city-wide legalization of sidewalk and street vending due to concerns about impacts on businesses, residential neighborhoods, ADA access, and enforcement, but supports special vending district programs only if neighborhood councils can approve district boundaries and vendor concentrations with distance limits from sensitive uses. The council submitted this position to Mayor Garcetti and city council members regarding proposed amendments to LAMC Section 42.00.
