• Support for Position re Ordinance 187427 (Speed Limit Reductions)

• Support for Public Park/Skateboard Facility at West LA Commons

• Support for Station Located Directly on the UCLA Campus as Part of Metro’s Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project

• Support for the Los Angeles Homeless Veterans Leasing Act of 2015

  The Pacific Palisades Community Council adopted a modified version of a motion supporting the Los Angeles Homeless Veterans Leasing Act of 2015, which would authorize the VA to build permanent supportive housing on the West LA VA Campus for homeless veterans, conditioned on the VA working with impacted communities to study and mitigate material adverse environmental impacts including traffic.

  

• Support the draft master plan for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs WLA campus

  Pacific Palisades Community Council considered a motion to support the Department of Veterans Affairs West LA campus draft master plan, which aims to revitalize the campus into a vibrant community providing healthcare, housing, and services for all veterans. The motion was proposed on February 17, 2016, but failed to be adopted by a majority of councils before the October 2016 deadline, though it passed in seven other neighborhood and community councils.

  

• Support the “Housing Unhoused Disabled Veterans Act” (HR 8340 / Sherman)

  The Westside Regional Alliance of Councils (WRAC) is a cooperative coalition of 14 neighborhood and community councils on Los Angeles's Westside that meets monthly to discuss regional issues and advocate for member councils' positions to government officials and decision-makers. WRAC's leadership board consists of volunteer representatives appointed by member councils who work to address major Westside issues and facilitate communication among member councils.
