Pacific Palisades Community Council announced its annual Holiday Dinner and Awards Gala scheduled for December 13, 2018, honoring five community volunteers: Jimmy Dunne and Bob Harter as Co-Citizens of the Year, John Steadman and Dede Vlietstra as Golden Sparkplugs, and Arnie Wishnick as Pride of the Palisades. The event will be held at Gladstones from 6:30-9 pm with tickets at $90 per person or $175 per couple, featuring silent and live auctions and a commemorative program book.

Public SafetyWildfire Prevention
Councilmember Mike Bonin announced the restoration of Los Angeles Fire Department Engine Company 69 in Pacific Palisades, which had been permanently closed in 2011 due to budget cuts. The restoration will increase firefighters at Fire Station 69 from six to ten per shift and enhance emergency response capabilities for the neighborhood's high fire risk and limited access routes.
