  The Pacific Palisades Community Council is inviting eligible candidates to apply for Area Representative and At-large seats for the 2024-2025 term, with candidate statements due by 5:00pm on July 25, 2024, and voting to commence in September. Newly-elected representatives will take office on October 1, 2024.

  

• SB 549/Rebuilding Authority - Information Update

  SB 549, a proposed Rebuilding Authority bill, passed the state Senate in late May and is scheduled for an Assembly Local Government Committee hearing on July 16 at 1:30 pm. Senator Ben Allen will be a guest speaker at the Pacific Palisades Community Council meeting on July 17 to discuss the bill's history and answer questions.

  

• Safety Reminders/Digital Signs in Bus Shelters/Stay-at-Home Order

  The Pacific Palisades Community Council issued safety reminders about mask-wearing and social distancing in public spaces, informed the community about a proposed digital signage program in bus shelters that PPCC is opposing, and notified residents of a new stay-at-home order from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The email also reported a fatal traffic accident on PCH and announced that the December PPCC meeting was cancelled with the next board meeting scheduled for January 14, 2021.
