  Pacific Palisades Community Council announces the passing of George Wolfberg, Chair Emeritus, who was a long-time community activist and environmental advocate who served as PPCC Chair multiple times and led the Potrero Canyon Community Advisory Committee. Wolfberg received numerous community honors including the PPCC Community Service Award, Citizen of the Year, and Pride of the Palisades awards.

  

• Getty Fire Evacuation Update

  The Los Angeles Fire Department lifted most evacuation orders for the Getty Fire as of October 30, 2019 at 5:00 PM, with some areas remaining closed due to safety concerns. Palisades High School remained closed on October 31 while other local schools reopened, and residents were provided resources and reminders for safe evacuation procedures and recovery.
