This May 2023 Park Advisor Report from Joe Halper covers three main topics: the Palisades Park playground refurbishment project, which is over 25 years old and may require local fundraising; pickle ball usage at the park, which was discontinued at tennis courts 7 and 8 due to noise ordinance violations but is being considered for other locations; and the Potrero Canyon pedestrian bridge project, which is entering a 12-18 month planning phase with community outreach meetings.

LA Fire met with the Pacific Palisades Community Council on March 7, 2023 to discuss brush clearance requirements (100-200 feet from structures), a potential drone pilot program for fire mitigation and law enforcement with privacy considerations, tree branch and power line management by DWP, and BBQ usage policies in parks which are restricted only on Red Flag Days. The discussion included information about the 'adopt a park' program for community-funded brush clearance and plans to invite LA Fire's westside community liaison to a future meeting.

The Pacific Palisades Community Council wrote to City Councilmember Traci Park on March 13, 2023, requesting immediate action to establish a dog park in Pacific Palisades, citing concerns that off-leash dogs at the newly opened George Wolfberg Park at Potrero Canyon are threatening the park's riparian habitat and noting the community's consistent support for a dog park since 2018.
