Zone 0 Landscaping Regulations
MySafeLA is submitting a letter to the advisory committee of the state Board of Forestry -- as have PPCC and the Palisades Forestry Committee -- reflecting concerns about the proposed new draconian Zone 0 rules and urging the advisory committee to take into account scientific data going forward in the process (currently, we're told that the committee will continue to recommend very strict rules near the perimeter of homes (pots only with plants no higher than 18" within 5 ft. of the structure) and may still be considering limiting vegetation to no more than 2 ft. in height within 10 ft. of homes).
See the MySafeLA letter

Residents are encouraged to sign on to the letter (scroll to the end to sign on)!

Project Chimney
PPCC's last meeting on May 22, the Board passed a motion approving a project from the House Museum to
preserve chimneys of historic Palisades homes
destroyed in the fire, to eventually be part of an historic memorial. The House Museum has issued an updated
Press Release
,
reflecting the names of the important organizations that now support Project Chimney and providing details about the project's status.
We wish for the success of this wonderful project!
