Summary
LADWP proposes replacing 220 wooden power poles with brown steel poles along a transmission line in canyon areas of Pacific Palisades to improve reliability and fire safety, requiring California Coastal Commission approval. The project, initially proposed in 2019, was paused to address concerns about impacts to Braunton's Milkvetch, a federally-listed endangered plant species, and LADWP plans to present a mitigation plan at the CCC's November 2020 meeting.
