What's on the Agenda?
Presentations:
--  We will hear from our guest speaker,
Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath
, about her work on the Board of Supervisors, with an update on the status of
the
proposed County Authority for the Palisades.
--
Representatives of
Team Palisades
will update us on the organization's activities and goals.
Committees:
-- The
Grants Committe
e may
recommend
grants
from funds received by PPCC for Board approval.
-- We'll have an update from the
Rebuild Committee
on the
PPCC-NORC community survey
status, as well as a possible update from the
Undergrounding Committee
on its work to date
.
-- The
Awards Selection Committee
will
remind us of the process to nominate
Citizen of the Year
and
Golden Sparkplugs
(nominations due October 17, 2o25 - see below).
Additional Matters & Announcements:
-- We will welcome new
organizational Board members
as of October 1, 2025 (taking their seats on October 9th).
-- As always, we'll have
reports and announcements
from the President, Board members, government representatives and advisors.

on the Gladstones Redevelopment Project

Wednesday October 8,
at its October meeting in Redondo Beach, the Commission is scheduled to hear a Coastal permit application brought by County Beaches & Harbors, by the project concessionaire and by the state (CalParks), for approval of proposed
plans for the Gladstones redevelopment project.

has submitted a letter requesting
