1. Call to Order and Reading of Community Council’s Mission. The purpose of the Pacific
Palisades Community Council shall be to (1) be a forum for the consideration of Community
issues, (2) be an advocate for Pacific Palisades to government and private agencies upon issues
where there is broad Community agreement, as reflected by two-thirds of the Board Members
voting on any one of those issues at a PPCC Meeting, and (3) assist other organizations in the
Palisades which want help in accomplishing their objectives or projects, which the PPCC

2. Roll-call of Board members and Certification of Quorum.
3. Introduction of attendees:
Guests: Jackie Wiley, California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation, Targeted
Outreach Specialist to speak about DFPI and trending scams.
Millions of Californians are falling prey to frauds and scams (especially seniors), it’s important
more than ever to learn how to protect your personal and financial information. DFPI’s
targeted outreach specialists seek to protect California consumers from unfair, deceptive, and
abusive practices that have led to financially damaging millions of consumers. Some topics
covered will be:
• Cyber/Internet Scams
• Telephone Scams
• ID Theft
• Online Services and more…

March 14: Hybrid meeting with in-person element at the Palisades Library meeting room
6. Treasurer’s Report.
7. General Public Comment. This time is reserved for non-Board members to speak on any item
of interest to the public that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the PPCC. Speakers will
be limited to one minute. Chair retains discretion to extend.
8. Reports, Announcements and Concerns.

8.1.1. Update re community meet/greet with new CD11 Dist Dir., Juan Fregoso & a
possible beach clen up event planned with CD11 at WR Beach.
8.1.2. Reminder: LA Park Commission meeting in Pacific Palisades – March 21
8.1.3. Pali Rec Center informs us that the retaining wall that had been cracked near the
Field of Dreams has undergone some district repair and is almost fully repaired.
8.1.4. Following up regarding Will Rogers Beach undercount
8.1.5. Possible DA candidates Forum with BCC on March 3rd (are we interested? Do we
wish to plan for after the runoff election?)
8.1.6. Saturday construction at Asilomar Bluff stabilization project has been halted.
