A Message from MySafe:LA
"You are invited! MySafe:LA is developing a new strategic plan related to wildfire and the entire risk areas within the City of Los Angeles. We strongly believe that no 'plan' that reflects the 'city' is useful without input from the public. That’s why we’d like to invite you to take a look at the plan and provide your feedback on what may or may not be relevant to the final initial release of the document.
"If you have concerns or ideas about wildfire risk and response in the City of Los Angeles, this is your chance to share your ideas so they are 'on the record.' We’ve developed a method for you to read the text-only draft online and to provide input. You can do it in one sitting, or in multiple sittings during the coming three weeks.
"To provide you with an overview of the plan — what we’re calling an Executive Summary — please see the PDF document

"If you’d like to review the plan, here is the link:

"Remember, if you live in an area that might be affected by a wildfire in Los Angeles - even including poor air quality, you should consider sharing your thoughts via this 'public comment' period of time.
[IMPORTANT:
Deadline to submit comments/input on the CWPP:
JANUARY 21, 2025

On the Horizon for PPCC
Our next PPCC board meeting:
Thursday,
January 9, 2025,
6pm via Zoom
(agenda to be distributed on January 6)
We'll be introduced to the new CD 11 Field Deputy for the Palisades,
Arus Grigoryan
,
who has already stepped in to
assist with several issues of community concern!
All are invited to PPCC meetings!
Issues/topics that we're keeping an eye on -- and may discuss at upcoming meetings in 2025:
Proposed "Fire Safety Fair" to be held in the Palisades on February 23, 2025 (host: the MySafe:LA Regional Fire Safe Council).
Crime and public safety, particularly new measures recently introduced by Councilwoman Traci Park (including funding for security cameras throughout CD 11).
Proposed new/replacement bus shelter (under the City's "STAP" program) at Sunset & Carey.
Status of sidewalk vending/food trucks in the Palisades (several knowledgeable officials have been invited to clarify and present information on the relevant rules & regulations).
The Tramonto/Revello development project (to be heard in the full City Council - date TBA).
Status of the landslide on PCH and of bluff instability/slippage throughout the Palisades.
Continuous water flow on Temescal Canyon Rd. - source/solutions?
Abandoned/incomplete construction sites - status of solutions.
Homelessness - status in the Palisades and the City/County.
Status of a possible legislative effort to eliminate designated fire zones statewide, including the "Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone" (the designation for all of the Palisades).
Dog park, "lateral trail" and bridge over PCH - status updates/ progress?
We look forward to addressing all of these issues -- and
more -- as we strive to fulfill PPCC's mission: to protect
and improve the quality of life in Pacific Palisades!
Last but not least . . .
