Summary
Pacific Palisades Community Council unanimously opposed Senate Bill 827 at its January 25, 2018 board meeting, arguing that the bill would inappropriately empower the state to override local zoning authority and remove community input from land use planning decisions within a quarter to half mile of transit hubs. The Council called on the City of Los Angeles to vigorously oppose the legislation and protect local control over planning and zoning.
