Re: Support for Community Project Funding Request: George Wolfberg Park at Potrero Canyon (Park) – Lateral
Trail, Pacific Palisades, CA
Dear Congressman Lieu:
Pacific Palisades Community Council (PPCC) supports the improvement of the existing dirt road connecting the
mouths of Potrero Canyon and Temescal Canyon (and their two parks) in Pacific Palisades as a pedestrian recreation
trail (Lateral Trail). There is a crossing light at PCH & Temescal Canyon Road, for a safe crossing to Will Rogers
State Beach for users of the new Park.
PPCC fully supports the application by Los Angeles City Council District 11 (submitted by CD 11 Deputy District
Director Noah Fleishman) for Community Project Funding for improvement of the Lateral Trail.
We respectfully request that funding be awarded for this important and much-needed improvement that will further a
primary goal of this regional Park, now in the final stages of development – to provide safe pedestrian access to the
coast from the Park.
Thank you as always for your outstanding service and support for the Palisades community.
Sincerely,
David Card
