Speed Humps
Applications
9/16
From
Councilmember Bonin
: "
LADOT Official
is gearing up for a new cycle of its competitive
speed hump program.
I worked to restore the speed hump program a few years ago, and this effort will allow residents in each council district throughout Los Angeles to apply for a new speed hump on their neighborhood street.
"The application portal will open next Wednesday,
September 16 at 8 am.
There are only 30 slots available in each council district, so residents are encouraged to apply right at 8 am! Once slots are full, LADOT staff will conduct a comprehensive study of each application. The next cycle is scheduled to open in six months."

Controller's Report - Prop HHH & Homelessness
Credit: City Controller
City Controller Ron Galperin
has released his
2020 Action Plan
on Proposition HHH and homelessness -- "Meeting the Moment." He explains: "Four years after Angelenos voted to spend $1.2B to reduce homelessness, only three new housing projects are open and most won’t be for two, three or even four more years. Meanwhile, the crisis has gotten far worse, compounded by pressing COVID-19 health and safety concerns. To reduce homelessness, the City must adopt a new action plan that will house more people right away. Read my latest report on Prop. HHH . . . and explore my new story map on the HHH-funded projects across Los Angeles."
