LADWP Committed to Undergrounding
Utilities in Pacific Palisades
PPCC is pleased to report that LADWP has confirmed its commitment to
underground
utilities in Palisades residential areas,
beginning in the Alphabets.
LADWP stresses that in some areas undergrounding may be "unachievable due to terrain or other technical challenges." A timeline / schedule is expected to be announced in February 2026. For more details, see:

Additional information will be provided by the PPCC Infrastructure
Committee at the next PPCC Board meeting on January 8, 2026

PPCC-PPRA Letter Requesting
JLAC Fire Audit Amendment
PPCC and PPRA have jointly sent the following letter to the California State Joint Legislative Audit Committee (JLAC), requesting that the JLAC amend the scope of its request to the State Auditor for an audit of the responses to the January Fires, to include an examination of
how the State, the City and County deployed federal wildfire prevention and hazard mitigation appropriations between FY 2015 - FY 2025.

Lowe Family YMCA Shopping Spree!

from the Lowe Family YMCA, will take place this coming Sunday, December 21, at the YMCA at 1466 Westgate Ave. in WLA. Brand new items will be available for gift giving. The event is free to Palisades families. For details click on the flyer above.

Representing PPCC and the Palisades community, President Sue Kohl will ride on the
"Rising Together"
float,
depicting a Phoenix rising, sponsored by the California Community Foundation, with other community leaders & survivors in areas devastated by the 2025 Eaton & Palisades Fires. Watch her in the Parade in person in Pasadena, or on TV starting at 8am on January 1, 2025!  Click on the graphic above for more details. Palisades Fire Observance Ceremony
Wednesday, January 7, 8am - 1pm
American Legion, Post 283 & the Village Green

A solemn ceremony will take place on the one-year
anniversary of the Fire
on Wednesday, January 7, sponsored by the American Legion & the Pali LTRG. The ceremony will honor the twelve individuals who lost their lives in the Fire and pay tribute to all who are helping the community recover and rebuild.  For details of the day's events, click on the graphic above or visit
