Pacific Palisades Community Council
PPCC  Position Updates
Recent PPCC Actions:
On June 29, 2025, the PPCC Executive Committee submitted a letter in strong support of a motion by Councilwoman Park, to be heard on July 1 by the full City Council, that would
ban disaster tour bus operations
in the Palisades.  See the PPCC EC's letter
HERE
.
As noted, we completely agree with CW Park that "turning a site of devastating tragedy and loss into a spectacle exploited for profit . . . is despicable and should not be tolerated in the City of Los Angeles."

At the last PPCC meeting on June 26, the Board unanimously approved a motion spelling out the
authority of the Grants Committee,
well as the Board's sole authority to approve grants/donations from PPCC.  The Grants Committee will now begin to develop rules/guidelines regarding applications and eligibility for such grants, consistent with the Board's motion.
See more information about the Committee and the approved authority
HERE
.
We expect to provide more information about the process in the near future..

The Board also unanimously passed a modified version of a motion recommended by the Westside Regional Alliance of Councils (a coalition of all 14 NCs and CCs on the Westside, including PPCC) calling for a
ban on riding e-bikes on sidewalks in Los Angeles.
See the version passed by PPCC
HERE
.  The motion has been passed by 7 member councils to date; if/when it is passed by 8 (a majority), it will become an adopted position of WRAC and can be advocated as such.
