The Los Angeles City Planning Commission adopted a staff report recommending the Commercial Cannabis Sign Ordinance on December 21, 2017, with modifications including adding day care centers and permanent supportive housing as sensitive uses protected by an 800-foot distance limitation on offsite signs, prohibiting certain sign types while allowing pole and monument signs, and removing the 75 square foot maximum onsite sign size limitation. The matter will be referred to City Council committees for further consideration before a final vote.
