Pacific Palisades Community Council is accepting nominations for the 2025 Citizen of the Year and Golden Sparkplug Awards, with a deadline of October 17, 2024, and presentation at an Awards Gala on December 11, 2025. The Citizen of the Year Award recognizes long-term volunteer service and recent extraordinary accomplishments benefiting the community, while the Golden Sparkplug Award honors citizens who initiate community action projects.

The Pacific Palisades Community Council announced its 2017 award winners, honoring six residents for their community contributions including safety initiatives, student advocacy, environmental education, noise pollution activism, homeless encampment cleanup, and humanitarian work. The awards were to be presented at the annual holiday party on December 14 at Gladstones Restaurant.
